The weekend of June 22-24, 2018 some of our cloggers attended the annual Holiday Ranch Camping Weekend with Janice Jestin. The Ranch about 10 km from Spruceview, Alberta. The hall has a beautiful hardwood floor and it's been used for square dance, round dance and clogging workshop weekends since the 60s. Janice has been leading the clogging workshops since the the late 80s. The dances she teaches are all fun but what brings everyone back year after year is the friends that are made and, of course, the fantastic Saturday evening potluck supper.

On June 12, 2018 the CDCDA sponsored a Toy Dance hosted by the Country Sunshiners Square Dance Club at WESAC in Edmonton. The cloggers had their own room and there were four instructors cueing and teaching dances. Admission was a toy or a cash donation that would go to WIN House in Edmonton. Thanks to Adele Brewer and Birgit Blizzard who each taught a dance and cued and to Emily Soutyre who taught a line dance and to Sharon Robertson for cueing some clog dances. Everyone had a great time!
On June 12 we did a demo for 2 seniors residences in Fort Saskatchewan. One in the morning and then one right after lunch. The residents sure enjoyed it. We had a lot of fun showing them our clogging.
Our annual windup night starts with a potluck dinner followed by demos and then some dancing. It was another great season!
A few members of the Blizzard Cloggers made the trip to Bashaw to join Marlene and her Sunshine Cloggers for their annual windup evening. We had lots of fun.
We have 13 beginner graduates. They worked hard all season and passed the exam and are now qualified to dance at the easy-intermediate level. Congratulations to all of them!
The CDCDA hosted a New Dancer Evening for all cloggers, square dancers, choreographed ballroom dancers, line dancers and community dancers. Three of our beginner cloggers attended and had fun trying out the various forms of dance under the CDCDA umbrella.
